Husband, father and grandfather first. The rest of the stuff is just a lot of added fun. I have completed over 20 marathons, an Ironman, and multi-hour adventure races. I am happiest with friends or family in the woods, on the lake or at the golf course.
About Kelly
I believe that happiness, fitness and wellness are the result of practice. We are all capable of living our best selves and truly have the right to pursue happiness and better health. I like the way that Hal Elrod words it (Author of the Miracle Morning), “Enlightened Entitlement is characterized by the fundamental belief that each of us is just as deserving, worthy, and capable of creating and having anything we want for our lives (that is, anything we are willing to put in the effort to achieve) as any other person on Earth.”
I am happily married for over 30 years, we have a grown son, daughter in law and a grandson and I love spending time with family and friends, learning about health and fitness and helping others feel better and live healthier. I have been practicing happiness, health and fitness for my entire adult life.
Regarding my coaching programs, my goal is to help more men learn the simple strategies that I use to get and stay healthy and get more enjoyment in life.
It is also a priority to help as many individuals as I can to learn the strategies that improve wellness and quality of life.
Over the last 30 + years, I have helped hundreds of people improve their health and well-being. I have primarily worked with adults and the majority have had medical limitations that needed specific guidance in their programs whether it was diabetes, orthopedic, cardiovascular, morbid obesity or something else.
I have worked with hundreds of bariatric patients before and after weight loss surgery.
My focus for the majority of my career has been the relationship of exercise and diet (nutrition) as they pertain to wellness. While they are both important, a 360 degree approach to wellness is the key. This approach, in addition to diet and exercise includes improved sleep, stress management, outdoor activity, finding purpose, improved mindset, “unplugging” and spirituality.
There have been a lot of changes in the dietary recommendations in the last 20 years and more new science- based information is on the horizon.
I enjoy being outside and especially enjoy paddle boarding, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing and backpacking.
